Download the FREE mobile app for Museum Without Walls™: AUDIO, available for iPhone, iPod touch and Android! The app allows users to download audio for all 35 stops and can be used both online or offline. GPS capability helps users find nearby sculptures with audio. Coming soon for Blackberry!
How it works:
- Download the MWW: AUDIO app from the iPhone App store or Android Market:
- For iPhone or iPod touch: Click here to preview the app in the iPhone App store or search for “MWW: AUDIO” or “Public Art Philadelphia” in the iPhone App Store (accessible on iPhone or through iTunes).
- For Android: Click here to preview and download the app or select the ‘Market’ icon on the Android home screen and search for “MWW: AUDIO.”
- Download the tours: Open the app and click on the Guides tab to view the three available tours (Tour 1: 14 sculptures along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway beginning at LOVE Park, Tour 2: stops at 9 sculptures along the Parkway beginning with The Thinker, Tour 3: 12 artworks along Kelly Drive). Download all three guides for the complete program.
- Download audio: Click on a tour and press view. You will be then asked if you want to download the guide for offline use. When downloading is complete, you will be able to access the audio at any time.
- Listen and enjoy: To listen, open a tour and scroll down to view photos and audio for each artwork. Click the arrow button to move on to the next stop.
Museum Without Walls™: AUDIO is QR compatible!
When you see this image on the Museum Without Walls™: AUDIO map or other printed materials, take a picture with your camera phone to be taken directly to the audio program.
What is it?
This is a QR (Quick Response) Code. Taking a picture (scanning) this barcode with a compatible, camera-enabled phone – one that can be equipped with a downloaded QR Code reader application – will link your phone directly to the Museum Without Walls™: AUDIO website where you can listen to the audio program for the indicated sculpture.
How it works:
- Download a QR Code reader (available for free online) specific to your phone. Search using the keywords “QR Code reader” and include the make and model of your phone to find the appropriate app. Note: not all camera phones will be compatible with this software.
- Take a picture of the code with your phone.
- The scanning software will do the rest. You will automatically be directed to the Museum Without Walls™: AUDIO website where you can enjoy the audio clip on your phone.
